01 / SPORTS / FULL-STACK APPLICATION
NFL Pool Central
The weekly drama belongs on the field. This platform brings the rest — picks, confidence points, scoring and standings — into a purpose-built NFL pool application.
What it does
A weekly routine that makes sense. Participants choose teams, assign confidence points and follow the week’s games. The system supports games and point spreads, checks confidence selections and saves picks as they change.
From game results to standings. Scoring and reporting turn picks and results into weekly leaderboards and season standings. Players can see how the competition is developing without relying on a manually maintained results sheet.
The organiser’s side matters too. Pool, season and participant data sit behind the same application, with administrative tools and import workflows supporting the work that happens before and after pick entry.
What I built
I designed, built and deployed the application across the participant interface, backend, database and operational tooling. The work includes authentication, pick-entry logic, scoring and reporting, data migration and deployment workflows. This is a full-stack product, not a presentation layer on someone else’s service.
The point: Put the rules, picks and results in one place so running a pool does not become another weekly spreadsheet job.
02 / FINANCIAL PLANNING / CUSTOM APPLICATION
Financial Retirement Planner
Retirement planning becomes complicated long before anyone opens a chart. FRP brings a household’s income, assets, expenses and retirement decisions into one application for exploring possible futures.
What it does
One household, many moving parts. Model separate retirement dates for partners alongside multiple salaries, pensions, investments, savings, property and liabilities. Recurring income, one-time payments and future expense changes can all affect the picture.
Compare choices over time. Monthly projections account for assumptions such as inflation, returns and fees. Expected, conservative, optimistic and custom scenarios can be compared without overwriting the household’s baseline plan.
Results you can inspect. Annual cash-flow views, asset-balance charts, printable reports and CSV exports make the projections easier to review. Household, representative and administrative roles support controlled access. Calculated benefits and tax figures are labelled as planning estimates.
What I built
I translated household-planning requirements into the complete application: guided data entry, the monthly projection engine, independent scenarios, comparison views, reporting, access roles and deployment. The calculations are deterministic and their assumptions remain visible, so the output can be understood rather than treated as a black box.
The point: Make a complicated household’s financial picture easier to explore, compare and discuss.
03 / FAMILY SUPPORT / WEB + ANDROID
Digital Family Hug
A little less “has anyone spoken to them?” and a little more shared understanding. Digital Family Hug brings family contact, check-ins and everyday support around an older loved one into a privacy-conscious application.

A simple way to stay connected.
What it does
A shared picture of everyday contact. Family members can organise support around a loved-one profile, record that they met, phoned or texted and add wellness notes. The aim is to make useful context easier to share across the family.
A simpler experience for the loved one. A dedicated view focuses on quick contact and check-ins rather than exposing the full family dashboard. The web interface is also packaged for Android.
Permissions are part of the product. Family membership and sharing preferences are handled explicitly. The application includes presence records and sensor-reading workflows, with disconnected or manual features distinguished from connected services. This is an ongoing build; expanded scam protection remains a separate roadmap.
What I built
I am developing the web application, API and Android experience, including family profiles, invitations, contact records, wellness notes, permissions and the simpler loved-one view. The challenge is as much about people as software: giving a family useful context without making the person receiving support navigate a complicated system.
The point: Help a family coordinate everyday support while keeping the loved one’s experience simple and permission choices visible.
04 / E-COMMERCE / BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP
Cooperpicks
A specialist guitar-pick business needs a specialist buying experience. I built the complete website and e-commerce system, including custom tools for configuring products, assembling gifts and pricing the result.
What it does
More than a product catalogue. Customers browse guitar picks and related products, with product presentation and buying paths built around the way these items are chosen and sold.
Custom picks without an impossible variation list. A purpose-built configurator handles material, shape and other supported choices, applies configuration rules and separates per-pick pricing from one-time charges. The selected specification follows the product into the order.
Gift packs and pricing that fit the business. A guided gift builder combines pick packs with optional shirts and straps, reveals required options only when relevant and calculates the configured price. Custom pricing and order workflows connect the customer-facing experience to the information needed after checkout.
What I built
The whole website is my work — design, development and the custom e-commerce functionality. I built the customer experience and supporting WordPress/WooCommerce plugins around the products and business rules, including configuration, gift combinations, pricing and purchase workflows. Using an established commerce platform provided the foundation; the complete solution was built for this business.
The point: Make unusual, configurable products feel straightforward to buy — while carrying the right details through to the order.
05 / HOSPITALITY / COMPLETE ORDERING PLATFORM
Pub ordering platform
From the table to the people making the food. A fully functional pub ordering system that lets customers place orders at their table and helps staff follow food preparation and order progress.
What it does
Customers order at the table. The platform gives guests a direct route from the menu to an order, built around the practical setting of a working pub rather than a conventional online-shop journey.
The order has a life after submission. Food and order progress monitoring gives staff a way to follow preparation and keep track of what is happening. The customer-facing ordering flow and the operational workflow are parts of the same system.
Built for the people running the venue. Dedicated staff order pages and role-aware access separate operational work from the public experience. Custom functionality on WordPress and WooCommerce connects menu items, customer orders and staff handling.
What I built
I built the complete platform from the ground up, including the customer ordering experience, custom order functionality and the staff workflow for monitoring food and order progress. The work connects the public interface with the operational side of running a pub, rather than stopping at a menu page or an “order now” button.
The point: Connect the customer at the table with the people preparing and managing the order.
